What it does
The PPC Campaign Builder is ideal for building PPC campaigns that contain repetitive
keyword structures. For example, a campaign for a travel agency might target accommodation
keywords like:
hotel London
hotels London
hotel in London
hotels in London
london hotel
london hotels
accommodation London
london accommodation
stay in London
Ideally these keywords would be placed in their own ad group or category and have
ad copy that would maybe look like:
Hotels In London
Up To 70% Off All Hotels
In London. Book Now!
www.EZTravel.com
The keyword phrases and ad copy are all for London, but the entire campaign might
be targeting numerous other destinations like Paris, Prague, Rome, Frankfurt, Brussels
etc. Essentially the keyword and ad copy would remain the same, but only the destination
would change. The PPC Campaign Builder can build an entire campaign with all the
ad groups with one click of the mouse.
How it
works
After you have uncompressed the ZIP file, double click SubBuilder.exe. PPC Campaign
Builder is a simple one page application. Begin by naming your campaign:
Next enter your daily budget and maximum CPC. Do not use currency symbols like £
or $.
The keywords should be entered next. Use ## in your keywords to
indicate where the variable (in this case the destinations like ‘London’ and ‘Paris’)
should go. Make sure that each keyword/phrase is on its own line. Some users may
want to generate tracking URLs for each keyword (e.g. using Bidbuddy or similar
tracking software) and may want every keyword to have its own URL field. In this
case select the ‘Copy Down Keyword URL’ option.
Now supply your ad
group titles. These titles have to match the variables you want to insert into your
keywords. In this case they are London, Paris, Rome etc. Each one should be on a
separate line. You may also add individual destination URLs and Max CPCs for these
ad groups by adding ‘ ** ‘ and the additional data. For example, if you wanted Rome
to have its own destination URL you could use ‘Rome ** http://www.eztravel.com/rome’
instead of just ‘Rome’. The same can be done for the Max CPC.

Next
supply your ad copy. The ad copy follows the Google Adwords style and restrictions.
You can once again use ## in your copy to insert your variable. The text boxes have
character length restrictions similar to Adwords, but the application does not check
your ad copy length after the campaign is generated. This means that care should
be taken when using ## to insert variables as they may push your ad copy over the
character length restrictions. Check your ad copy length in your spreadsheet afterwards!
The Ad Text 1 fields are used to generate ad copy for both Google Adwords
and YSM All YSM Ad copy will be generated from this, but if further Adwords copy
is required the Ad Text 2, 3 and 4 fields can be enabled.
Additional
YSM fields should be completed if you intend generating campaigns for Yahoo!.
Once all your data has been inserted, click the ‘Save – Google’ or ‘Save – YSM’
button.
You will then be asked to specify where you would like to
save your .csv spreadsheet.
Once saved, click the ‘Exit’ button to
leave the application.
Please open your saved spreadsheet and check that
all the fields have been generated correctly. Be sure to check ad copy length, destination
URLs and CPCs.
